Presentation
I adore dudes and chicks, especially if they have interesting personalities. I'm kinda easy, I must confess: make me laugh and you'll probably have me where you want me.
I like offbeat folks with their own sense of style, and if you're as into pop culture as I am, bonus! Intelligence is sexy -- give me a really great, smart, funny opening line, and I'll be putty in your hands.
I'm bisexual, truly. I love sex, full stop. As such, I believe I'm ideally suited for a FMF/FFM relationship (is there a difference between the two? I'm so naive...) but I enjoy one-on-one sex with either a man or a woman as well. Hm, wait a moment... I love cock enough that a MFM would be wonderful, too. Hmmm...
Oh, who am I kidding? To me, if I find you attractive, you're a charming, decent sort, into kissing and big boobs, and smell halfway decent without tons of perfume or cologne, there's probably at least an even chance of bagging me, no matter the possible permutations and combinations you might cook up.
Some people might say I'm overweight, and I probably am, I suppose, but I think of myself as soft and blowsy and squeezable.
Plus, there's my tits. You have to contend with them -- they're taking on a life of their own, creating their own mythos. I should probably mention that, by general acclaim, I have been assured that my tits rule the world. I put on extra weight recently, and it seems to have gone mostly to my boobs, much to my delight and to hurrahs of throngs. I'm only partially kidding.
If you couldn't already tell, I am in love with my Peabody-award-winning breasts so they must have lots and lots of attention. They're so vain, they probably think this question's about them. (Really folks, these are the jokes... I am greatly amused by this idea... but they are pretty nice, even I have to admit, as have several breast-enthusiasts).
Sounds great, so far, huh? Well, as with all great things, there is a catch, of sorts. I will say it up front, here, loud and clear. In a community such as this, with millions of people who are in all likelihood more apt to have sexual encounters with people they don't know well, and to have more of them than average for the U.S. population, there is a more than good chance the person you are chatting up has herpes. In fact, some estimates put it at 1 in 4 adults have it, and of those, a large percentage do not know they have it, and even if you know it and think you are not having an outbreak, you can still shed the virus ten percent of the time, according to recent research. Of course, shedding the virus isn't the same as giving it to someone, and the research does not state how long the subjects had had herpes when the study was done. Someone who has had it for a long time and is more familiar with the symptoms may be better equipped to identify an outbreak.
I know this isn't a sexy topic, but it is an important one. Literally, almost everyone on the planet has the cold-sore type of herpes, with the most common avenue of transmission being mother to . The other kind, genital herpes, is, as I said, almost as common. Yet why is it, do you suppose, every profile you read claims that the writer is DDF, or they don't say one way or the other? Statistically, I would say this is an impossibility, especially on very large hook-up sites.
I personally know of three people who choose not to disclose at all, since, from their perspective, they are on medication for it and so it's safe enough. I say that is not for them to decide.
I feel qualified to speak to the subject, since I have herpes. I got it the first time I had sex, as it happens, when I was 17. It sucked, obviously, mainly because I feared complete ostracism. As far as how it feels, it's only just uncomfortable after the first few outbreaks, which tend to be more painful. I've had yeast infections that were more uncomfortable and long-lasting.
I married the guy who unknowingly gave it to me even though I didn't love him, because I thought no one else would ever want me, with my scarlet letter "H." Thankfully, this turned out not to be the case, and I stayed married to him only a very short time.
Since then, because I am hypervigilant and just do not have sex when I feel anything at all amiss "down there," and because I use common sense and ask that my partners use common sense, I have never passed it on. I married again not long after my first, and for 18 years until our divorce, I did not give it to my second husband. (Not to imply I did afterwards!)
If anyone could get away with not choosing not to disclose, it would be me, but I can't do that in good conscience because there is no 100 percent guarantee. When I discovered that people couldn't read or weren't reading my entire profile, wherein I honestly answered the STD question, I was to say the least distressed because I was assuming all of the folks chatting with me were aware. I certainly never intended to mislead anyone.
Think about it, though, given the statistics: you might well say that anyone who doesn't produce a medical statement from a doctor for the last 30 days may or may not have it and may or may not pass it on to you. Moreover, it is far more likely to get it from someone who doesn't know they have it, since they won't be on their guard about it.
I imagine I am one of the very few people here to just say it, flatly, right here on the front page. This will probably kill my chances at finding someone to bed down with, but while sex is a totally awesome way to spend time, it's not worth giving someone a disease which causes physical discomfort and emotional stress.
